Meet Alisha - The face behind Aluve.

Tell me a little bit about yourself and your journey with Aluve. How did you get started?

My name is Alisha Kelly and I am currently living in Burleigh on the Gold Coast.

I started Aluve purely to create a supportive, self-help platform that I had needed myself at certain points along my journey. My main focus in mind has always been to make other peoples journeys easier than my own has been whilst supporting them along the way.

Working on yourself and doing the ‘inner work’ can be overwhelming and isolating and I wanted to create a space full of support that people could turn too, to learn, grow and move through whatever it may be they are facing.

Basically, I started Aluve due to myself struggling badly with depression earlier on and it eventually came to a stage in my life where I had to figure out a different way of doing things if I wanted to get through. I threw myself into self-help and learned every process, technique and strategy I could get my hands on. I tried out so many different things and learnt what worked and what didn’t. I found the most powerful and transformative work happened when I was able to access my subconscious mind and clear the negative emotions and trauma stored there.

Through Aluve, I now see clients coaching them using a range of different subconscious methods - such as Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) and my all-time favourite; inner child work. My goal for Aluve is to eventually release a range of products and programs that can help as many people as possible live a more connected and fulfilled life regardless of what stage they are at. Whether it’s someone suffering depression or anxiety or even just someone searching for more love or success in their life, I would love for Aluve to be a one-stop-shop for all self-help elements to support everyone on their personal journey.

What are some of the main key elements you focus on?

  • Learning to connect within yourself and therefore with others and life
  • Feeling into emotions and releasing them so that you can move past and heal
  • Loving yourself so that you can attract in the relationships and experiences you want
  • Moving past limiting beliefs and getting into alignment so that you can attract the life you desire
  • Incorporating daily lessons, habits and mindfulness techniques to set you into alignment for a happier life
  • Moving through being stuck and finding your purpose

What does self care look like for you?

Self-care for me differs depending on what I am needing in that point in time however, the things that will always remain the same and I practice daily are meditation, breath work, affirmations, only reading and listening to things that uplift me or help me to grow, moving my body in whatever way I am feeling (walking, yoga, pilates, running), eating organic, nourishing food majority of the time, surrounding myself with loving and supportive people and doing things that make me feel alive (jumping in the ocean, working on my passion, dancing, singing, cuddling my loved ones). Other self-care elements I include in my life are emotional release strategies such as EFT & journaling, getting out into nature, spending time with loved ones doing things that make me happy and treating myself to something that fills my cup up (massage, facial etc.).

I learnt that self-care had to be a top priority for me to be able to be my happiest self and it is something that I prioritise and make a non-negotiable every single day.

What is your advice for someone who is trying to change their mindset or find motivation too?

I read something once that said it isn’t necessarily about motivation however, it is about discipline. When you want something bad enough you will put in the effort to make it happen. If you want a positive and healthy mindset then it is about prioritising and investing energy into the things that will get you there.

Number 1 thing would be find what it is that is stopping you from having the mindset you desire.

Then, look at what do you need to release/heal/remove in order to have this mindset. (Look at what tools and strategies you can implement here to do so whether that be working with a coach, practicing EFT, journalling, using release work etc)

Instead of criticising and being harsh on yourself for being in a negative mindset, try giving yourself love and nurturing and watch the shift happen.

Learn about inner child work and dive in here to give your ‘inner child’ whatever they need to make this change (Do they need more support/love/safety? Give this to them in whatever way intuitively feels right for you)

Be gentle on yourself and remind yourself you don’t have to change everything overnight but just making small changes each day will get you there. Be consistent with yourself and prioritise you.

What is a quote/lesson you live by?

A lesson I live by is to trust that every person and experience I encounter has been placed in front of me for a reason. I look for the lesson in all and trust that whatever is happening will allow me to continue to grow and evolve. Also, that our external experiences mirror our internal world, so I will always continue to go inwards and heal so that externally things can flow.

Meditation or Journaling for you?

Meditation is a massive daily non-negotiable for me. I will never go a day without doing it now even if it’s just a few minutes. Journaling also is something I try and do most days. The combination of the two together is so powerful for accessing the subconscious mind and releasing any negative emotions as well as moving through blocks and limiting beliefs.

What exciting things are to come for Aluve?

At the moment I am seeing clients one on one however, am looking to launch some online programs later this year which is very exciting! There are issues that I notice are extremely common among many people and I cannot wait to create programs to help everyone suffering with similar problems. Also, I have some exciting products I will be launching later in the year to support people on their journey.
